Ada Spahija - Communications Specialist
As a graduate of Connecticut College, with a degree in Economics and Environmental Policy, Ada brings a varied marketing and business background to the Burke and Company team. Her time at Connecticut College helped her gain invaluable experience building interpersonal skills and developing a strong aptitude for leadership.
Prior to her employment at Burke and Company, Ada served as a Marketing Specialist and International Sales Coordinator at MedGyn Products Inc., a Chicago based medical products manufacturer and distributor. While at the company she managed various marketing efforts such as promotional materials, sales presentations, tradeshow organization and planning, and branding campaigns.
Ada’s other internship experiences also helped her with her current role at the company. As a marketing intern at ‘g’ Green Design Center, the summer after junior year, she helped the founder of the company build and maintain her brand through social media, promotional marketing materials, and regular speaking events. The prior summer, Ada worked at the Global Volunteer Network headquarters in Wellington, NZ where she researched and built a promotional website on organic farming. Both of the internships were diverse in nature but helped her gain marketing and business development knowledge that have served her well as part of the Burke and Company team.
